Cards vs. DBacks

Heather, Dravis and I all went to watch a Cards/DBacks game tonight. Despite having an ear infection, Dravis did really well and seemed to enjoy the festivities. Cardinals won 2-1. But, the best part of the day is that we got to run the bases after the game. There are some movies hidden in the pictures here.

Heather and I are pleased to announce the newest addition to our family. Based on our first pre-natal visit, we have a due date of February 12, 2010. We are both super excited about this pregnancy and happy that Dravis will soon be a big brother.

A bunch of friends and family went to the zoo to celebrate Heather's birthday and let the kids get out some energy. We all had a great time walking around and looking at the animals. You can see pictures of the day here.

We spent the afternoon spending time with the family and celebrating Easter this past Sunday. We had a lot of laughs and some really great food. Dravis got to play with his cousins and struggled with the concept of sharing. You can see some of pictures we took here.

Sorry it has taken me so long to get these pictures posted. Things have been hectic since we got back from our little trip to Phoenix to visit Grandma and Grandpa Strub. Dravis had a lot fun in the sun and in the pool while we were out there which you will be able to see in the pictures found here.

Sorry for the massive delay on these updates, but I guess it i better late than never. We have been really busy lately and I have not had much time to do updates to the site in a while. Picasa seems to have fixed itself, however so I should be able to do updates much easier in the future.

Dravis has his first URI and has begun using a nebulizer to help him breathe. You can find pictures of him here.

Last weekend our friends celebrated the one-year anniversary of opening their store. They had Jason run the tournament there and had the 501st come to parade around in uniform to help draw crowds in. Dravis and Maddie seemed to enjoy the festivities. You can find pictures here.

Also, we just began feeding Dravis solid foods not long ago and can find pictures of him eating here.

Having Trouble with Picasa

I am currently having trouble getting Picasa to export our pictures into HTML pages again. It is only for the newer pictures we take. My older collections work just fine. Not really sure what the issue at hand is, but in the meantime I am going to be posting images to Picasa Web Albums instead. This is a total work-around for now.

Breakfast with Santa

Dravis had his first Breakfast with Santa today and we all had a blast. Kim, her parents, Madison, Taylor, Heather and I all enjoyed a good breakfast of pancakes and fresh fruits.

As soon as Santa Claus arrived, it was a lot of fun watching all the older kids get so excited. Especially when you are looking at Madison and Dravis, both of who could care less at the time. Dravis was too busy eating his bottle when Santa came in and Madison was asleep. Taylor was apprehensive at first, but eventually worked her way up there.

Both Madison and Dravis did really well on his knee but I have no idea what they told him what they wanted for Christmas. I, however, imagine is was simply a REALLY big bottle and a clean diaper.

Dravis Mitchell had his first Halloween this past weekend. He may have been a little too young to enjoy all the good candy, but he seemed to like getting out of the house for a while. My parents came over to help hand out treats to the neighborhood kids while we all sat around the firepit outside. You can find pictures here.

Heather and I are proud to announce the birth of our son, Dravis Mitchell Steinbruegge. Dravis was born on Thursday, September 27, 2007 at 1:40 AM. He weighed 7 pounds and 9 ounces and measured a whopping 21 inches long (not bad for a 4 week early baby.)

Mom and baby are at home now and doing fine. Dravis had some jaundice early on and had to be put on a Billibed, but has finally come off of it. We are both hopeful that he will not have to go back on it.

Dravis's Baby Shower

Heather had the baby shower on Sunday for little Dravis. Rebekah, Kim, Diane and Jenny all pitched in to make the shower possible. They had it up at Madison's Cafe on Manchester Road. While the girls were there, the boys watched the Cardinal game at Hot Shots. The girls had lots of appetizers and a delicious cake made by Aunt Rene. The boys showed up at the end to pick up all the goodies and eat the left-overs. There were still enough to bring some home.

Cardinals vs Reds

Rebekah, Monte, Heather and I went to the Cardinals game this Friday. We were playing the Reds and started off losing 4 to 0 at the top of second inning. One of the runs had scored on an in-the-park home run. That was somethign I had not seen before, and don't care to again when it is hit against us.

None of us were too pleased until around the 4th inning when the Cardinals really started up the pace. In the end, Ankiel hit a game-winning grand slam. The entire stadium went nuts. It's pretty amazing how the former pitcher redefined himself into a really good outfielder.

Update for Dravis's Room

Dad and I finished putting up the border in Dravis's room on Tuesday. I am really pleased with how it turned out. When we got done putting the paint on the walls Heather and I realized that the light blue color matched the blue in my old bedroom. We did not realize that when we picked the color out originally. It is funny how different lighting can make colors appear different colors. I think we did the smart thing by bringing the paint cards into Babys'R'Us to match the paint colors to the border.

GenCon 2007

Heather and I went up to Indianapolis this past weekend to attend GenCon 2007. We both had a blast there and got to meet up with a lot of our friends which we only get to see once a year or so. We didn't do too many events and spent a lot of time in the dealer room taking in demos of new games. We managed to get in a Tour of Duty game and got our dog tags for the effort.

I recorded the ultrasound of our little one a while ago, but never uploaded it since the camera i used has a knack of making the recordings only playable to computers with special software and/or hardware. I have since obtained some software that will allow me to re-encode the movies I take with it. Included in this same Picasa export is a video of our friends little when we went to the zoo together. Heather and I had our first firework show together. Dravis did not seem to mind to much as he wasn't moving around a lot. We watched the firework show at the Florissant Civic Center with my Mom, Dad, Grandma, Aunt Rene, Uncle Richard and their kids. The show was pretty good and had at least four different finales. I will try to post some movies that I took once I re-encode them. However, I wont be able to do that until after the Den/Office is finished and I have my desktop up and running again.

New Home

Heather and I recently purchased a new home together and are in the process of fixing it up. The first step in the process was to prime the walls and ceilings in nearly all the rooms to cover up the hideously bright baby blue the previous owners coated the walls and ceilings with. After the first weekend of work, we have painted all the ceilings and nearly finished the painting in the dining room, living room and hallways.

GenCon 2006

I got the chance to experience my first GenCon this year. Overall I had a blast. Lots of gaming and shopping was accomplished this weekend. The Saint Louis crowd was well represented in the Privateer Press tournaments by winning two of them and having one place in the finals for Nationals. You can find pictures of the festivities here.
